Dear friends of NLCs,
Today evening I have observed my first NLC this year in Austria: bands, veils and waves. The display was not very bright.
Another display tomorrow morning?
Have a nice evening,
Karl

Dear Monika, Congratulation to your first NLC this year! We had to wait a very long time for the first sighting at low latitudes! Today morning the display started again at 03:10 CEST (01:10 UT) with bands, waves and unstructured patches. Azimuth: 333° - 000° - 066° Maximal height: about 18° Now (21:15 CEST) clouds disappear again and in 40 minutes the next observation interval will start. What will be the result of my search? Nobody knows - it will be an exciting night again! Best regards from Schlaegl to you and all readers, Karl
