Well the sun's still up here and i'm waiting for it to start going dark, never the less i'm hopeful to see some NLCs later on. It's the weekend, and certainly for UK observers over the next couple of days a passing ridge of high pressure goes from west to east hopefully providing a good viewing window. It's been clouded out here for what seems like ages now so a change is welcome ;D

Hmmm, last night was mainly cloudy with passing but brief clear spells. Other than a faint structureless whitish/bluish glow toward the horizon, and then I wasn't convinced enough to take a picture, I didn't see any of the structured forms that people have seen recently. Did anyone else see any last night? Promises to be a clear night here tonight so hopefully should have better luck then

I had clear spells here Mark and I couldn't see any NLC at all although the sky near the horizon was obscured by cloud. I am hoping for clear skies tonight

In the early morning I observed detectable NLC low in the north from Toulouse. Not spectacular. I took pictures which hopefully show this clearly enough, I will post them soon.

Update 16/7: I added a photo to my site.
