Hi, NLC present behind heavy tropospheric cloud around 01.00 BST. No real detail discernable through very small gaps. Cheers, Bill.

Valley mist and non NLC cloud to 7 oktas did not totally obscure the NLC display on the night of July 07/08 from Elland in the hills of West Yorkshire. Judging on the brightness there must have been a great display further north towards the Borders.Observed between 23:20 -23:45 UT but stopped observations due to cloud fill. Images submitted to NLC Observers Homepage.

Hi, It always helps to check the file listing properly! I had a section of video recorded before I made a visiual inspection later. The NLC was bright and complex with nice features and already quite high in the sky at 22.20 UT Here's a frame grab from the video. cheers, Bill.
