There has been a drought in NLC displays from here in N. Ireland but last night I managed to catch one which took me by surprise. Visible from 03.00 - 04.00 BST. Type 4 brightness with Veil and soft bands extending + 40 degrees in azimuth from the N - NE. Bright blue-green colour with naked eye and Castor was embedded near its upper fringe.
