I guess it was the faintest NLC I have ever seen... Appeared at 01:00 UT and lasted only 30 minutes before the brightening of the dawn sky washed it out. Some thin, wavy bands were present under UMA and streched across AUR with a max. elevation of 4 degrees. Pics

Hi Ediacara,
Great to get a report from the south this early on in the season!. I got a quick visual sighting last night for about 10 minutes in a break in the clouds. Quite faint (B2) but distinct against the evening twilight. I was a bit surprised myself, as it is still early in the season to see a display in the evening sector (23.00 - 23.10 UT). Hopefully this bodes well for the rest of the summer
