I have seen a messsage on the Abington AS yahoo groups from Bob Dryden that NLC were seen early Saturday morning his report is as follows:
There was a very bright display of noctilucent cloud yesterday morning (saturday 18th). I first noticed it around 02.30 BST very very low in the north. It remained below approximately 8 degree in altitude throughout, but its brightness made it very obvious. There were many intricate patterns for about 3/4 hour, and the cloud spread along the horizon towards the north east. The display was more spread out and diffuse by the time the sky was getting lighter around 3.30'ish. So keep an eye out towards the north after sunset.
There may be hope for the UK tonight or tommorrow morning
