I thought my luck was going to run out.... It had been a beautiful evening but just after midnight, local, the sky started to cloud over.

I've had to stretch the image as it was quite faint but at least that's my first one of this season!

However the sky remained clear to my north just long enough to catch a glimpse of a faint couple of bands and some fainter background NLC.
