Space Weather.com reported today that the AIM satellite has observed the first NLC in the Northern Hemisphere onthe 21st May 2019. For details see Space Weather - 23rd May 2019Only small so far but should grow over the next few days. It is also worthwhile checking the 'Time series of mesopause temperature and water over the UK' at www.geos.ed.ac.uk/~hcp/meso_ts/ this shows the temperature and the amount of water at the height in the atmosphere that NLC form. In general the temperature has to be low and the water content high for NLC formation. This is however a predictor rather than an absolute measure. Time to get your NLC observatories set up ! I re-commisioned mine last night but still have problems downloading the EUMet Sat cloud images so I can check where the cloud was if NLC are observed. I hope 2019 is better than the poor seasons we have had recently from the South of England. John Murrell
