Did anyone else see the extensive display of NLC this morning ( 20200617) ?
The display was partly obscured by local low patchy cloud but was in progress at 02:07 UTC (Solar elevation - 10.13 degrees) and was still in progress at 02:46 UTC (Solar Elevation -6.78 degrees) when it was wiped out by dawn.
My images are not very impressive due to the large amount of cloud obstructing the higher parts of the display. The display was visible from NE to NW with a guestimated maximum elevation of 20 to 30 degrees. Very difficult to tell as the higher display was only visible through holes in the low level clouds.
Nothing was seen or recorded on my camera the previous evening.

I was at the beach until about 2am under a mostly clear starry sky; but no NLC seen from here (nr Paignton, South Coast UK). I'm down there every night at the moment, and don't miss much ...
