I was just having a good look at all the images and there's a number myself, John and Pete took all at the same time that show the exact same structures and view, just with slight variation caused by the parallax of our respective observing sites.

This was my first view of noctilucent clouds so quite an amazing experience for me. Just happened to be wandering along the canal towpath at the back of the house with the dog at 10.45pm when I noticed the unusual glowing clouds in the west so I grabbed the camera and started shooting. I didn't believe they were the real deal until Pete (digitalsky) confirmed them as noctlilucents on the UKAI forum. Anyway here are some images...Mark 21.57 UT 21.42 UT 21.47 UT

Hi Tom
Thanks for the welcome and kind remarks on the images. Now I know what to look for, and when, hopefully I will be able to make further contributions to this excellent website.

Hi Folks, First post from me. I happened upon the site accidentally a few weeks ago and have seen some nice photos on here so I thought I would finally add one of my own. I managed to get this one aired on BBC Look North by Paul Hudson (the weather man). ;D It was a simply stunning show in terms of brightness. Just a shame it didn't last a little longer. This is two hand held shots stitched in Photoshop. Taken on my Canon EOS 450D with Image Stabiliser lenses. Paul Willows Doncaster
