Hi all, I'm new to NLC's, only recently heard about them. I think I may have spotted some this evening for the first time . If so, they were visible to north-northwest, and at the earliest (to my knowledge) from 22:00-22:15 GMT.

Hello, my first post here, decided to register now i had a reason to post! Incredible display here in the Netherlands, Apeldoorn. Also my first time seeing this amazing phenomena and I gave an early warning on a dutch weather forum so a lot of photo's have been taken! Here are mine from this event. It started quite early, at 23:20 CET! It reached to approx 60 degrees. Last photo taken at 00:18 CET, it was still visible around 00:30 CET.

Fab pics everyone........I did spot the display myself this evening but was having a water fight with the kids (well it has been a hot day lol) and by the time I got dried off the clouds had rolled in and spoiled it So no pics from me unfortunately as I'm off to bed now to catch up with the sleep I lost last night. Good morning! You all had very astonishing displays!! Congratulations!
Here in Hungary yesterday there was a cold front with thunderstorms and rain over the country's most part (it's still cloudy) , but as I could see on some weather webcams we also had an NLC at about 1:00 UT. Only very small parts could be seen in the small gap of the tropospheric clouds, but it must have been a nice display too. The small parts I could see were type IIb with brightness 3.
