NLC Norway 3-4 July 2009

Inspring night of NLC's, Visible from 2300 - 0230 UT, NW to N to NE 30-40 degrees elevation. Even saw the clouds when I returned home so I took a picture of my house with NLC in the background....as the song goes sleep when you are dead!!

Wow! Absolutely fantastic images Mike, Norway looks a beautiful place - I've only been there once in october just as the snows were arriving, however your summer shots are really making me want to pay it a visit in summer too

First result from Rostock / GER:

Due to "MBs" here is lower resolution video taken with telephoto lens f=200 to ~ N.

Nice whirl (?). The left edge had low movement + from right came nlc with fast movement.

Moin moin,

very nice, bright and complex display here in NE-Germany, the same features as from Olaf's point of view. I'm 30km southwest of him but my movie was made with a shorter focal length.
