Anyone catch the Lyrids? Dismal here. Only three on video on night of 21/22 Apr through a few gaps in the cloud. Cheers, Bill.

Hi all, Nearly back to NLC season again!, Anyway cast your mind back to May 2011, see my posting of May 17th to be precise. "...Controlled release of herbivores...". I was back at the same location just a few days ago to do some observing of the same meteor shower but this time the sign was different... Maybe the said "controlled release" got a little bit UN-controlled. Makes you wonder...!

Hi, After a few years of plodding away I think I've spawned a new field of meteor astronomy Have a look at britastro.org/node/5897Using commercial off the shelf components, I've christened it Survey Video Meteor Spectroscopy. The results have been better than I ever imagined myself! Here's how things have developed... www.youtube.com/watch?v=milJHQat4q8cheers, Bill.
