Here are links www.nasa.gov/centers/wallops/CARE.html and www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=noctilucent-cloud-dust-rocket-nasa-wallops . They are using the rocket exhaust particulates as the initiator. 100 kg of Aluminium Oxide in the rockets fourth stage was dumped. Has anyone any further information or piccies ?

I have found some images on Spaceweather spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=20&month=09&year=2009 / . I also located this www.youtube.com/watch?=lb45uBaj2Mc&feature=related . Not too much information about yet from 'normal' sources. I will be keeping a look out for more info. I have nearly finished my NLC 2009 Seasonal Photo CD to send to Ken Kennedy for archiving. I have a couple of hours of NLC colour video of the June display to edit down to sensible proportions for 'showing' ( taken with my Samsung SDC-425P CCTV camera) too.
