This Wikipedia site, which is reliably maintained by the scientists involved, is of note to those with a more scientific interest in NLC: www.cawses.org/wiki/index.php/Project_3_PMC/NLC_altitude,_frequency_and_brightness_changes_related_to_changes_in_dynamics_and_chemical_composition.

And hot (or cold!) on the heels of this is the news from the AAS (reported on various sites and New Scientist) that scientists are becoming more certain of a solar grand minimum. This would seem to mean we might see enhanced NLC over coming years.

You can blame the major solar minimum on me - i've invested a load of £££ on specialist solar filters etc over the last couple of years. Oh well, at least NLC will benefit!
