A year ago this weekend I saw my first NLCs. I posted my photo to Spaceweather.com and next thing I knew I was being invited to talk about it on the BBC! So, here's me, as an NLC newbie, being interviewed by the delightful Wendy Austin on "Good Morning Ulster"....... www.pevans.me.uk/images/peonru060605.mp33MB or thereabouts so will take a while on dialup, but not impossible. Enjoy! Paul.

Great interview Paul which brings back fond memories from last year. That display and images on spaceweather.com as well as the resulting radio interviews was a very exciting period!! Plus it was a great chance to educate the public on these wonderful displays. I believe NLCs are more popular now than they ever have been among observers and the 2006 season was largely responsible for that.

Hi Paul,
Great fun listening to that - thanks for posting it. I remember last year a BBC Radio 5Live presenter broadcast live impressions of NLC from the roof of Broadcasting House. Members of the public were reporting it as aurora (can't recall what date this was!). I think it was Robin Scagell who phoned in to explain that it was NLC.
