Hi,
Nice video.
"449 images" made me smile. I can remember in the late 80's arguing with myself whether I should even press the cable release and take a shot or wait until the display got "better".
Putting a 36 exposure film rather than a 24 in the camera was absolute luxury. It's not that long ago but it seems like the stone age now!
The forecast was decent for my location so set up my camera but the clouds rolled in right on cue just after 00:00. Then they broke up right on cue at 03:30 just as the sky was becoming bright. The weather gods playing tricks again!
cheers, Bill.

Thanks Jimmy and Bill Even do though I am only 22 years old, I let out a sigh of relief when I got my first digital camera back in 2003. I would always use up my 24 shots film too fast. The only limit now is battery life and storage space. The shutter life expectancy of most Canon DSLR is 100 000 actuations. My old 500D is barely hanging on with a shutter count of about 230 000 and it is still working Focusing via Live view on the LCD screen is extremely helpful in low light. I usually focus on a star or on the pattern of the NLC if it is visible. The weather gods sure like to tease us. On the night of 13/14 June people had a beautiful display a little further south of me in Denmark while all I had was grey overcast. Tonights display were the first for me this season. I got my best NLC in late July and in the beginning of August last year. I am in the process of classifying them and making a educational timelapse with the 2011 NLCs.
