Caught a display on my video camera last night. Bright lower region spanning most of the local horizon. Fainter more diffuse "veil" higher up. Not much in the way of features seen due to the limited video resolution.
Does anyone else use YouTube? I was going to up load the video as usual but it was taking hours! Never had any problems last year but this year it's been dreadful. Very poor, blocky results. Same codecs, capture card and camera here so whats happened toYouTube?
cheers, Bill.

I have had the same problem. A couple of faint displays lost to youtube compression even in HD mode. Vimeo has better quality but I often have trouble getting that to even play these days (it was fine last year) due to poor internet speed.

Hi Jim,
That's actually re-assuring. It's always a concern that it's something stupid I'm missing. I tried a quick test with a mobile phone upload and it went zippy fast so they've made some sort of changes to the way they process videos. Maybe they're just catering to the bigger user market now!
cheers, Bill.
