Hi together, on ed-co.net/nlcnet/image-archive you'll find an animation taken during the night May 20/21 by Jesper Grønne in Jutland (Download, 22 mb: astrophoto.dk/2014-5-20.mov). In my opinion this is just some cirrus. At that time AIM couldn't detect any traces of PMC over the northern area of Earth. The first good echos at MAARSY appeared only 3 days later. But maybe I'm wrong? Then, we have a report from Lithuania (morning of May 26): ed-co.net/nlcnet/positive-sightings-2014 . That looks more promising but there seems to be no picture to confirm it as true NLCs. Otherwise some negative reports, e.g. from planes, but also from the ground, came in starting about 2 weeks ago: ed-co.net/nlcnet/negative-reports-2014 . Best regards, Stefan

Hi Stefan, It's possible confirmation may still arrive on any 'suspect' NLC's. There is an image from Lithuania from May 25-26. There's also now a report from Novosibirsk, Russia with supporting image from May 29-30, in addition to the more widely observed event on May 30-31. The season is up and running! Tom
