Hi, Glad you got the chance to see and capture them. Finally, the normal clouds pretty much stayed away last night allowing me to get a clearer timelapse: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7KdfZPqvA8Jimmy

Great video, particularly the first part. I saw nothing until a few wisps about 3:30am which came to nothing.

Many thanks, Sonic. Sorry you did not see much but there will always be another display soon to look forward to. A second timelapse from last night: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HhaXjNYz9AJimmy

I have seen NLC on 3 mornings pre-dawn but nothing after sunset, Bearing in mind I only observe in the mornings about 1/3 as many times as in the evening this seems a bit odd. Has anyone else got evidence that NLC are more prevalent in the morning this year ?
It might just be the effect of small number statistics but it is begining to feel like a morning bias.
Regards
John
