Hi, I was just browsing through some files and came across the following graphics I worked on at the end of the 2007 season. They show the distribution of all observers who have sent reports to www.nlcnet.co.uk from 1996 to 2007.

Nice work Tom It's always good to see where the observations come from. I'm curious though, what's the deal with the sightings from the atlantic Ocean? Are these from a ship? I know for instance Brian Whittaker is a pilot and so is fortunate enough to be able to observe from the air...

The cluster around Florida are due to Space Shuttle launches. There are a few other USA sightings resulting from Rocket launches. Tom
