Hi folks, @heiko: superb images! Because of some celebration and a number of guests, I more or less missed (in the meaning of imaging) the impressive display in the dusk - I only had the chance to have a quick look at it from time to time... But, with dawn the NLC's re-apperared (even not as impressive as they were in the evening sky), after a minor geomagnetic storm (which was caused by a high speed stream from a coronal hole) produced photographic aurora during the darkest hour of the night. 23:22 UTC 01:22 UTC 01:35 UTC: And, last but not least, here's a time lapse covering the time span between 23:19 and 01:49 UTC (227 single frames taken with EOS 60D and Tokina 11-16 F/2.8 and Sigma 17-50 F/2.8, respectively): [VIMEO]
