There was a good display of NLC this morning from around 02:10 UTC in the NE (when my alarm went off) so might have been visible earlier. It became visible higher as the Sun got higher but did not reach Capella so < 41 degrees. As the display in the NE faded due to brightening sky the NLC became visible in the North. Need to check my images but I think it reached about 40 degrees with a strong structure running almost N from my location. The sequence of images shows all the NLC were moving towards the West.
The EUMESAT Cloud top hight images show quite a lot of (lowish) cloud North of my location but must have been below the line of sight.
I have lots of images but need to sort out the best ones - too hot to have my main computer on at present so i will have to wait.
