I can see a bright display emerging now from Durham, extensive in azimuth and about 10 degrees or more in altitude. (22:30UT)

Can confirm sighting from Wallsend, NLC emerging, brightness II, to Capella, looks complex with types O, S. Cirrus from that complex low approaching from W. Looking North at 2230z: They don't get a lot better than this on a north view from here. Looking N at 2245z, complete with Capella, aircraft, types IIIb, O, S if you look hard! Les

Nice shots Les.
I think this display was brightest as it became visible, and has been slowly decreasing in intensity since.

That's good to see Les! We're not so fortunate with the weather tonight and there's also a bit of history being celebrated which means that my view NNE is as follows.... To do with the Battle of the Boyne 1689 or somesuch P.
