No NLC before midnight but woke up to this complex but rather faint NLC at 0130z: Facing N - showing types I, IIab, O and an aircraft! The long bands were not visible to the naked eye at this location. Les

Just back from a long night's observing with Bill Ward at Dalry. Briefly we had NLC from 2242-0255, /75 Deg (0245), I,IIab,IIIab,IVb (but not all at the same time!), it was never very bright but peaked at around 3. I think I have in excess of 500 still images and several hours of time-lapse video. Believe it or not, this was my first night of the 2007 season that was clear from dusk to dawn! Will update the website later today with further reports, images etc.

Well, had the first clear night tonight in what seems like weeks. On my way home from work at about 10.15pm, I thought I could see some very feint NLC but couldn't be sure. Keep looking all night up until 2am and nothing more came of it. Hoping for another clear night tonight but I ain't holding my breath lol, it's very overcast here today Jo xx
