Update at 10:30 UT for Anchorage. NLC has become better defined. Apparently some cirrus mocked NLC higher in the sky at earlier observation. Azimuth is 300-020 degrees, elevation near-horizon to 30 degrees. Diffuse bands within a veil. Ripple structure noted at az. 010 degrees. Band orientation is NE-SW. Altocumulus blocking portion of display to NE. Temp. 9.8 C. D. Vonderheide
