I should note that I was watching the evening sky from 22.50 to 23.30 BST and seen nothing suspicious. Sky was in excellent condition at this time. Different story before dawn though.

Those are nice pics The skies over Maghera have a lot less light pollution than I do. My 'policy' for this years NLC season is to grab a pic whenever it is clear... I wonder how long it will be till we get a brightness 4 display???

Thanks Mark. The skies are pretty good here, I'm fortunate that the NLC prone areas are opposite the town and away from lights. I was clouded out last night.
I'm expecting good displays come June.

I'm hopefull of seeing some pre-dawn...
There's clear air moving down from the north over England tonight, the mrs is away so I think I might set me an alarm for an hour or so before sunrise and see whats about.
