I have just spent the last three days and nights working on the 2006 NLC gallery. In it's earlier state it was badly laid out with low resolution images. I have now located my CDs from that period and found all the original high resolution images. Using these I have replaced all the images in the gallery with 800 pixel wide higher resolution versions. There is now 80 images within the gallery, some of which have never been published before. This was a spectacular season so I wanted to do the period justice. Non of these images have been enhanced. The only modifications made were a light unsharp mask to bring out the stars. The intense colours and structures are exactly how they appeared with the naked eye at the time. I hope 2008 will put on a similar show. I hope you enjoy them!. www.nightskyhunter.com/Noctilucent%20Cloud%20Gallery.html

Thanks Mark. 2006 was the most spectacular year for me. The NLC structure and colour was simply breathtaking. 2007 produced more NLC sightings for me than any other year however structured displays were late in arriving. I noted that there was a greater abundance of pre dawn displays also. 2006 was the opposite with prolific evening and midnight shows. Some of these where even visible at the zenith after sunset. There was about 5 all-sky displays during 2007 so it was a good year.
