Null observations from me from the West Midlands, morning and evening for 31st May, 1st & 2nd of June - totally clouded out here
Though the longer range forecast would seem to indicate a change to more 'settled summer like' conditions for the next couple of weeks for England atleast so fingers crossed, hopefully it wont be too long until we see and get some pics of some nice NLC displays
Negative obsv June 4/5th from 00.00 - 02.15 UT. Clear sky with very low level dark cloud on the horizon associated with retreating frontal system. Spectacular dense fog. No NLC activity oberved at all. This is the first year in which I haven't experienced a complex display by this time.
Negative observations from 22:30-23:00 local time (19:30-20:00 UTC) in the evening of June 4th. Sky clear. Í think that I have to wait a few more weeks before the season really starts on my relatively southern location.
Neg obs 05/06/08 22.00-22.30 ut from here in the west mids. Lovely clear sky with the crescent moon but no NLC's. I did rattle off a few pics for reference just incase they are needed at any point. Fingers crossed for clear skies this weekend - hopefully be able to get the scope out aswell as see some NLCs.
Negative NLC observation 20/21 June 2008 twixt 22:25 and 23:25 UT here in the Yorkshire Pennines ( Elland) . Observation was both visual (N/E and photographic). Cirrus and contrails spoiling an initially very clear sky.
