Nothing in Powys, Wales either for the evening of 24-7-08. 21.00-22.00 UT. Low cloud in the west and generally poor seeing, but enough clear breaks right out to the western horizon to see NLC's if they were there.

It was actually clear for me last night (!) till about 1am (bst) - The twilight sky looked kind of different, as a result I went diving for the binoculars and grabbed the camera all to no avail - nothing there... As a result negative obs from 21.00ut - 00.00ut 30/31 july. Got some brilliant views of Jupiter through the scope despite poor seeing - so not all lost

Being the geek that I am, I actually couldn't sleep very well last night (30th/1st) in anticipation of the eclipse and ended up getting up about 3.30am (BST) to discover it clear. I observed for 15mins till 3.45BST but alas no NLC. Fingers crossed for clear skies for the eclipse. I'll post any pics I get for you all to see
