Well I don't know if any of you out there have spotted any NLC in the past couple of days... I've had rain, rain and more rain here in the Midlands so even if there were any I wouldn't and couldn't of seen them Still, i'm an optimistic kind of a chap, even with the British weather some slight law of averages exists so all these cloudy nights will be balanced by clear ones at some point *twiddles thumbs, waits and hopes*

Yes, this year's UK summer is much more 'traditional' than last year's! Anyway, we're now in the peak part of the season so when (if!) the weather breaks you should have a decent chance of catching something over the next 2-3 weeks. Best of luck...

Thanks for that Tom, I think with our current summer storms we need all the luck we can get...
Is it too early in the season to make any comparisons with this years and previous years NLCs yet?

Hi Mark,
Yes, far too early to make any comparisons. The only thing we can safely say at the moment is that UK observers are exepriencing high levels of tropospheric cloud!
