Sky is just getting darkish here - 22.00ut - NLCs visible quite clearly in The NW. Will get some pics asap.

Can most definitely confirm: extends in altitude over 20ยบ (from Durham, UK) in bands.

Update - clearly visible, 15-20 deg altitude. From north west thru to north north east - possibly further, my horizon is obscured further east. Banded formations.
Plenty of pics rattled off - tho will be tomorrow now bwfore I can post them.

Just picked it up here in Glengarnock - 22:49 UT, II,III, /25+, b2 - all through broken cloud.

Watching here from Liverpool and I'm so excited lol, this is the first real display I have seen since July 2006 and..............I've got pics!! Thanks to John who taught me how to use my camera properly I've finally taken my first NLC pics and I've got tons of them lol. It's taken a bit of playing around to get the exposures right but I've done it Ok I'm going back to my loft to watch some more and take some more photos. Happy watching everyone!! Jo x

Also at Wallsend, covering all of northern horizon but rather faint and fading at 2326z, types I, V brightness II.
