Superb pickies everyone - well done! Was cloud and rain for me here in the West Midlands so plenty of shut eye for me instead. I notice Spaceweather is carrying the headline 'Noctilucent Storm' when I looked a few minutes ago...

Hello all, After a spell of pretty cr*ppy weather the south west of Scotland had a brief break last night. Nice NLC seen between 22.15UT and 23.30UT with some quite bright area's and some great "micro structure" Here's my tuppence worth of images. 23.12UT ![](http://userweb.elec.gla.ac.uk/b/bward/nlc_a.jpg) 23.13 ![](http://userweb.elec.gla.ac.uk/b/bward/pano_a.jpg)

Hi, Thanks Scotweather, With a little digital wizardry here's a couple of not so conventional views. NLC may be "thin" but they still have vertical depth. ![](http://userweb.elec.gla.ac.uk/b/bward/nlc_filtered.jpg) ![](http://userweb.elec.gla.ac.uk/b/bward/nlc_filtered_2.jpg)

Intricate but well structured. Thanks for the different perspective!

Missed it all here in Liverpool ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I did see some bright patches in the tiny gaps in the clouds, but not enough clear sky to see any structure and to know if it was NLC or not. I was hopeful last night too as it went really clear at about 8.30 - 9.30pm then when I looked out again around 11pm, the whole sky was clouded over and it was starting to rain ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Ah well, maybe tonight! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Jo x
