Nice pics, I thought I suspected signs of NLC about 22.00ut in the gaps between the tropo cloud. Must have been the night for it John - I was on the real ale last night and despite my suspicions the real ale made me go to bed and start snoring (so i'm informed...)

Whoops, me too , ladies and gentlemen . Just a small glass of a Portugese sparkling wine and a cloud band that came in ca 2000 UT. ;D is my starting excuse. In the early evening I had plans to drive a couple of miles on to my local moorland about 2200 UT had the skies remained as clear blue transparent as they were . Started a nap and woke to clear blue daylight at 4 am. Do we plan a rota for partaking of the anaesthetic ?

I almost had a drink last night as I wasn't seeing any sign of NLC when I first started watching, so glad I opted for coffee instead and waited that little bit longer I wish I could drive off somewhere dark for a better view but 1, I don't drive yet (learning at present) and 2, it would be a bit dodgy for me to go off on my own late at night to dark places lol. I'm thinking I need to join one of these groups were they all go off to different locations observing together. I'll have to see if there's anything like that in this area. Jo x

There was some very bright NLC here in Wallsend on 07-03/04 lighting up the extensive cirrus deck. Too much Broon, work and NLC the night before meant I fell asleep until 3AM on the sofa watching "How do They Do It" on Discovery rather than being up here. My webcam caught it though Pics are in the reports place. Les
