Well it has to be the sunniest day with the most blue, clear sky i've had here in the West Mids since Easter (seriouslly!!) - so thought I better make the most of it... Got out the 20x80's and located Venus in the sky, after that the scope came out and my first (through the scope) image of Venus was taken - as presented below Meade 5" refractor,1183mm fl, 2x barlow iso400 1/125 Lovely thin crescent visible - even the mrs was impressed after a look It looks like this clear window is going to hold out for the overnight period too, so hopefully some nice pickies later on too if the moon doesn't interfere...
