Dear readers, Some days ago I have finished my new pages about the Ring of Bishop. At the beginning of November this year a lot of Saharan dust was in the air over Central Europa and even over the British Islands and up to Iceland and Greenland. In Austria we had beautiful yellow sunrises and sunsets. I decided to write about this big event and added reports of dust in the air from earlier month and years. You will find many images, graphics, animations of the dust-transports and a picture of Saharan dust seen in a microscope. I think many of you are interested in this atmospheric event. Here you find the pages: home.eduhi.at/member/nature/MET/KORONA/bishop/bishopscherring.htmEnjoy the images! Have a nice weekend! Best regards, Karl

Hey Karl! That's a great website you've put together, my Austrian isn't that good, but the pictures and graphics say alot on themselves. I've spotted some of these yellow sunsets and seen some dust on our car aswell. What with Saharan dust and SO2 from the volcanic eruption in Alaska we've had quite a good second half of the year in 2008. Regards & thanks fvor sharing, Mark
