This was the year's first Hungarian observation. We had a 2-3 brightness one, about 8 degrees altitude by NNW - N direction cca 30 degrees long; some parallel, nearly horizontal lines and some skew, somewhat brighter strokes. The display lasted about 45 minutes - as I could see through the city lights. Other observers also saw it. The few people in Hungary who are interested in NLC observations have an agreement to give an alert call to each other if we see something suspicious, this happened today. :-) Hopefully before the dawn sky will also lend us some of its neon blue beauties.

Hi,
Well done! This event has also been reported from Austria - very encouraging to see activity penetrating so far south.

Great pictures all of you! I was observing from the Forest of Dean on the saturday night, and despite clear skies saw nothing from observing from twilight through till midnight local time... My time will come *fingers crossed!*
