Wow  I think I finally caught my first NLC of the 2009 season - at least I think that is what you can see in the photos. These were visible from 22.14 through to 23.16 UT and were still there right on the NE horizon after I headed back in.......Mark 22.19UT  22.33UT  22.37UT  22.40UT  22.46UT  23.16UT

Thanks all! Amazing display - when I stepped out the front door to get something from the car my jaw dropped as they were practically overhead and extended all the way from north to west. I thought I was just seeing bright tropo clouds at first. Very exciting indeed and a memorable night out.
