A very good NLC caught overnight from here, following Neil Bone's timely post. Had some problems with cloud early on but managed a few decent views and obtained a nice run of images. The display was also observed in the Netherlands. Further details updated at www.nlcnet.co.uk/nlcreps.htm. Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland, 0007UT, 6 secs at f4

Very nice photo there Tom - you should get that off to Spaceweather.com where the 2007 NLC Gallery is now open.
I was clouded out here last night and we have severe thunderstorms here this morning - and I am trying to get some work done!
Clear skies,
Paul.

Tom that is a very beautiful image! That looked to be an excellent display. I agree with Paul, you should send that off to SW. I managed to glimpse this NLC display at 00.45 UT low in the NE. Greater than 10 degrees high, very bright (type 4) with striking gold, orange, white and blue colours. Cloud obscured it 15 mins later. Got one image...

Hi, my name is Olaf + I am from Rostock / Northern Germany. Here is my first observation this year after many many days with best weather conditions but no NLC... 3sky.de/NLC/NLC2/2007/070611/nlc_070611.htmlThe display has been more faint than bright but with different structures. Good luck for the next weeks. Olaf

Hi Martin, Yes, this display was at its brightest around that time. Here's the view at 0055 UT - just a pity about the low cloud covering the really bright NLC! Tom

That's another top notch image Tom! You have bagged several beauties now . I'm hoping this cloudy period will pass soon. I'm missing out on great displays.

Hi Martin,
The 3-day UK weather outlook (with the possible exception of N. Scotland) is looking rather dismal! Hopefully clearer conditions will arrive soon...
