I think they are very good - well done! If you can, could you complete the online form at www.nlcnet.co.uk/submit.htm with any other details you have of this display? Tom

Those are great images! and are fine without any post processing. With a casual glance at the images I would say you have bands and waves against a background Veil? You would know if they looked sharp or soft etc. Definitley send that report in. Torrential downpours and thunder here at the min.

The NLC was quite bright here in Hampshire. I was out with my friend on the off chance of seeing it. Here's some pics: Mark

I am the above mentioned freind and this is the first time i have seen NLC, well i may have seen it before and not known what it is, now that i have seen it i think i will recognise it again! i took some video footaghe but it was rubbish, as you can see my freinds pics came out very well, this is the first ive seen of then enlarged and it really shows the structure and colour of the NLC, i couldnt actualy see that much detail with my naked eye

Those are stunning NLC images Mark!.You and Jay (welcome Jay) caught a good one!! Looking forward to seeing more from you Keep in mind everyone to post your NLC images here no more than 800 pixels in diameter so forum stretching can be avoided. Use links or thumbnails like those by 'image shack' if you intend to post larger/higher resolution images. Thanks

Something went wrong with that last image - I'm sure I resized it the same as the other 2. Hmm strange.....

Hi, thanks for the welcome, that was my first sighting of N.L.C so a good one to start of with! now ive got a bug where i want to see it lots! i'm looking out my window now at Venus close the the crescent moon (it's 22.00 GMT) and in the north there isd a glow on the horizon that could be NLC but there is low cloud obscuring it, typical the sky is total clear apart from where the NLC might be, hopefully it will pass and i get my second view of N.L.C!
