Hi, Yet a new member. I discover this forum a few weeks ago and I found it great. I know since a longer time an other member named "Tigre89". Yes, I'm also french, and had a long journey in Rotterdam as an exchange student. Actually, I will made a more detailed presentation of me soon. The pictures of these amazing display of NLC the last week. It was a great great show of the beauty of the nature. This show began just after 3h15. Tiny and distant ripples of NLC appears at the N horizon. One half and hour later... Try to lightpaint (not very successfull) Very beautifull colors at this time A large view at 4h00 : At 4h08, I decided to go near a little lake juste in front of my street : I've made later a grid overlayed on this picture to show the high and the size of the display : db-prods.net/upload/GrilleEstimation-hauteur-NLC.jpg (4 Mo jpeg file) One last panorama at 4h28. The sun begun to be more and more close to horizon. The NLC disappears slowly : This was the greatest NLC display I ever seen for now. I was in a pretty high state of excitation as you can imagine. On my blog, I've put more images and a texte (in french sorry for non-francophone people ) here : www.db-prods.net/blog/2009/07/02/nlc-a-rotterdam-le-2-juillet-2009/Hope you will enjoy it .
