Hi all, that's the third night in a row, that we have bright NLC here in Vienna. Well - it's quite difficult to get some sleep... Here a first picture (20.22h UT): Clear skies Matthias --- www.serifone.de/nlc.html - my recent NLC observations

Massive display here in hampshire, well it would be but once again clous ruined it for me, but i could see it really bright through small gaps in the cloud, and it was really high as well, higher than ive ever seen it before, i estimate 70 degrees altitude

Extremely bright, from what I could see through a window in the cloud. Jay and myself were out last night looking for Glow-worms and the cloud ruined a potentially half decent display of NLC. The weather is certainly not in our favour at the moment.

Fantastic pictures Dollsworth - certainly shows what we've missed down here due to flaming cloud. Going off topic, have you seen Aurora Borealis down in Kent?

Wow! just got back after dashing down the road to take a few pictures as we finally got a break in the cloud here in Falkirk, Central Scotland. It was certainly a very bright display here tonight and its still ongoing.

Wow, I did not believe them over Bath, so beautiful and filling the sky, had to check them with here first! twitpic.com/photos/kerryday20For the latest pic from tonight. Darn tropo cloud got in the way in the end and I went in. Will look again tomorrow night. Thanks for the help and pics on here to guide me, Kerry

very nice Kerry, It's really pleasing to know that there are other people scattered around the country taking these pics and yelling at the sky at the same time as you are isn't it? Pete

Pete G - Good to here that you caught some of this display the NLC clouds were almost overhead and way off to the east here near Castle Cary couldnt believe how extensive they were, shame the cloud rolled in after 30 minutes, managed to get a few shots in, very strange hole/crater like formations visible that i see someone else remarked on, 3 nights in a row now.
