Hi,
Fantastic indeed.
It is good see that there is activity out there! I have had the worst July for observing in years! Despite basking in sunshine as I type the clouds are due to roll in on cue tonight yet again. It was looking better at my location last night for a few hours but by the time I had a second look out in the wee hours just more tropo cloud!
This could be my first nlc free July for 10 years, now thats a disappointing thought....
Oh well still got a few nights left.
Bill.

I will echo Bill and am glad to see that there is still NLC activity in the current season . Currently I have only had two succesful nights and these were in July . I had nothing in June (mainly due to the weather) . That is the reverse to Bill. Nice piccies Olaf . Sometimes pick you up on www.meteoros.de/forum2.htm Is it me or has there been an increase of morning cf evening events this season?

More nice pickies Olaf!
Same here for me, cloud, cloud and more tropo cloud. Only seen a couple of displays this season which is a shame. Weather forecast looks none to clever for the foreseeable future aswell - then i'm off to Hawaii, and I reckon it would be one hell of a display for me to see it from there...

Hi,
thank you!
I feel sorry for you all...
No NLC in June or July - that is hard...
I can not complain. There have been much more than 10 observations this year. Some less than last year but we can not compare with 2009.
2009 was extraordinary here in Germany!
So, keep on watching for an August display (or maybe July, of course)!
Sky becomes more + more clear here.
Regards, Olaf
