Moin moin,
some low(half below Capella) NLC Type II+III Brightness 2 visible before astronomical midnight here. The NLC was masked by cirrus in the beginning. Images will follow later.

Hi, Excellent pictures. It is good to see such well formed displays in the pre midnight hours as well as early in the season. Hopefully this bodes well for the coming weeks. Cheers, Bill.

Just downloaded the videos too. Nice! Are these animations from your still camera images? Bill.

Moin, Are these animations from your still camera images? Yes, all pics made with a Nikon D90 controlled by an external intervall timer. The cirrus movie was compiled from 62 single pictures, the nlc movie from 135. Overall 209 pictures taken in two hours. Sorry for panning and zooming in between. Regards wolfgang
