NLC 9-10.07.2011 Timelapse South-Easternern Norway

Hi

I am new to this forum my name is Julius and I live in the South-Eastern part of Norway more precisely Vestfold.

I became aware of NLC last summer and has since been hooked ;D

I took some pictures of the beautiful display last night and I have made a couple of timelapses. You should watch them in fullscreen in 1080p if possible.

The first shows the start of the display from Vest to North.

The second timelapse shows the view towards the east a bit later.

Your vids aren't showing for me - just white squares; is it just my pc not playing or can others not see them too?

Hi Markt , I can play/see both these excellent videos simultaneously at display size using Google Chrome (Current latest) as browser . Weird things - puters n software - so many permutations to trip us up.

Welcome Julius , I would hope to make it north to Norway some day.

Len E if you get to Norway make sure it is the Northern or Vestern part of Norway. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_Norway

The Northern part if you wan't to watch the midnight sun and the Vestern part if you like the fjords and the mountains.


Where I live in southern Vestfold it is pretty much like in some parts of England.
I am going to Møre and Romsdal the first week of August and I am hoping for some NLCs who would look spectacular with the mountains.
