Hi, I received an email this morning. ... Hi Bill, the same to me yesterday evening. Great to see that they put it online! All in all it is a great season but for many of us we have a real wheather problem this year. So let us look forward. There are some more chances! That someone could have catched them above Pic du Midi I think it is not so easy (if visible with maybe low contrast). The time to detect them in the evening there with the naked eye is much shorter because the sun "runs faster down". I'm afraid that there is no image of zenith NLCs. Regards, Olaf

Hi, It's very much a low possibility but it's always worth asking just in case!
You're right about the weather, even for this part of the world it has been poor. We have had nearly two weeks of continuous and total cloud cover. Still a few weeks to go so I'm hoping things will get better.
cheers, Bill.

Hi, It's very much a low possibility but it's always worth asking just in case!... Yes Bill, of course. Not in zenith but NLC seen from Pic du Midi in the morning hours of 14th + 18th I can show you here with kind permission by IAP ( www.iap-kborn.de/index.php?id=2&L=1 ) :-) Thank you very much IAP!
