Hi, Caught a moderate display on the video camera last night. Height ~15/20 degrees, Brightness 2-3 with some nice billows and complex structures. I'll post the video details in due course. Cheers, Bill.

I saw some very low altitude NLC to the east tonight at 0115 UTC+2 unfortunately other clouds osbcured most of the display. Looking forward to the video Bill.

Hello, 99% of the night was cloudy so decided to sleep but I left the camera running in slow frame movie mode. The sky did clear a bit at around 01.30 UT and NLC was briefly captured in the rapidly brightening dawn. If I had been awake I would have altered the exposure somewhat but here is the video. Added a flickr version due to the usual youtube compression. Location: Alness, Scotland. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyGufRzA2Rcwww.flickr.com/photos/65012574@N08/14257161218/Jimmy

Hi Jimmy, It's a pity about the tropospheric cloud. It was a decent display and would probably have looked great from your location. I had a bit of bother with the lower cloud but for once it broke up at the right time! Here's the youtube url: youtu.be/VTeEUKprtOccheers, Bill.
