Hey Heiko, what a beautiful display with superb structures - congratulations! After the match GER-ALG, I've been staring at the webcams of the IAP, impatiently waiting for NLC in the dawn. Nevertheless, in the crucial hours when the display showed up on the IAP-Cams and started to expand southwards, the slight and partial cloudy sky became completely overcasted by compact Altostratus fields here in NW-Germany... So, already "arrived" in the middle of the season now, I still have to wait for my first display in 2014 - never had an unseccesful season like this one during the past 6 years of active NLC Observing... Cheers and... Schland! Mathias

Hi, Nice pictures. Wall to wall cloud here. Actually the time lapse I got of the layer of stratocumulus starting to break up as the sun rises (typical!)is really nice in it's own right. Looking better for tonight. Keep watching!!! cheers, Bill.

Hi Mathias and Bill, many thanks for your comments! On this evening we had no NLC's here, but we had over the day a very strong signal on the VHF-mesosphere-radar. I wait on the next morning again...
